July 1897, and that my claim is equally good. I have adduced the foregoing reasons for re-opening the question as it seems to me they are not met in the reply of the C.V.§. in 8.8.0.1705A of 1912 embodying His Excellency the Governor's decision

in answer to my application of 8th.October 1912"

In reply, your petitioner was informed by the Head of the Sanitary Department that the Honourable the Colonial Secretary could not accept his argu- ments, but as your petitioner considers the facts submitted material to the point at issue he was

embodied them in full.

Your petitioner humbly and respectfully

submits that

(a). He joined the Service before 1st.March 1894. (b). When applying for a post in the Civil Service he was informed by a Responsible Authority that he

would get 4 months vacation full pay.

(c). He did get 4 months vacation full pay in 1902. (d). To draw leave pay at 4/❤ and pension at 3/8 the dollar, was a privilege extended to Officers who joined the Civil Service from Police Department

after the lat.July 1897, and your petitioner humbly prays that to draw 4 months full pay in lieu of Mail passage forfeited, may be considered a privile- ge extended to officers who joined the Civil Service

from Police Department after lat. March 1894, and
